I work with plus sized women who are sick of being told that their goal in life should be losing weight, and want to heal their relationships with food and their bodies.

Whether you look at the research or the reality of your own life, you know that weight loss has terrible odds.  About 95% of people who lose weight gain it back, often plus more, within 3-5 years.

So if weight loss isn’t the answer, what is?  If this is the question you’ve been struggling with, then you have come to the right place.

I find that my clients are often folks who feel like they have their lives pretty much together except when it comes to food and/or weight.  They’re often successful in their work, have loving relationships (even if they don’t have or want a significant other), artistic endeavors, etc., but they spend an inordinate amount of time worrying about what they should eat or ate, how much they weigh, and what others think of them.  They often know, deep down,  that this obsession with food and weight is holding them back from really experiencing happiness in their lives, but they don’t know what to do.

Perhaps you fixate more on food.  You have a running tally of how many calories, fat grams, carbs or points you eat each day.  You’ve been on more diets than you can remember, and with each diet, you’ve hoped that this would be the one that would lead to permanent weight loss.

Or perhaps you fixate more on your body.  You wish you could move the fat from one part of your body to another,  feel dejected whenever you look in the mirror or see a photo of yourself, and struggle with getting dressed in the morning.

Or maybe it’s a little of both?

Either way, worrying over food and weight always holds you back.  It takes over your thoughts.  It makes you hide out.  It ruins your self esteem and makes everything just plain hard.

I know how this feels because I’ve been just where you are.  I spent 24 years of my life on and off diets.  I hated my body, obsessed over food, and wouldn’t let myself really live until I lost more weight.  But with a lot of support (and trial and error), I finally made peace with food and my body.

The truth is, the world needs you right now.  The world needs to see plus sized women, in all of their beauty and glory, making a difference in the world.  When you step into your power and own your beauty, there’s no telling what amazing things may happen next!
