What You Might Not Know About Me

1. I’ve always loved low brass instruments, like trombone and tuba.  As a child, I played baritone horn, euphonium, tuba and sousaphone.
2. I spent a few years taking improv classes and performing musical improv comedy and was briefly a member of group called MC Hammerstein.
3. I used to have a tendency to only read books by long dead authors.  Thomas Hardy, Edith Wharton, and E.M. Forster are still favorites.
4. I’m so allergic to cats that I can’t spend more than 15 minutes in a home with cats (even 15 minutes is pushing it).
5. I used to never wear dresses and now they’re pretty much all I wear.
6. As a 9 year old, I got really into new wave and would only wear black clothing.  This did not go over well in elementary school.
7. I met my boyfriend nearly 4 years ago due to a dating profile that mentioned my love of goateed men who enjoyed The Big Lebowski.
