Well, so far I am wondering how much of a failure I must be to not be lovable when the default level of lovability is so lovable that you can tell any random person off the street to meditate on how lovable they are.
@meerkat, Maybe you ought to try meditating on your lovable traits rather than deciding that you are a failure at being lovable. That’s really the whole point of these affirmations.
@Golda Poretsky, H.H.C.,
As usual, I am treated like I just make things up to be contrary.
@meerkat, I wasn’t assuming that you were just being contrary.
@Golda Poretsky, H.H.C., I infer that you think I am making things up to be contrary because you said I “decided” that I am a failure at being lovable, rather than “observed” or “perceived” or something. If I decide something, it would be the other way if I decided it was. What the hell is wrong with me that I don’t just declare myself lovable? (I can answer that: I am concerned with maintaining some meaning behind the word. I can adjust my standards of lovability so that dog shit on the ground is lovable but then lovability won’t mean much.)
