Don’t Miss Out This Wednesday!

I have a confession to make.  I’m semi-obsessed with the show RuPaul’s Drag Race, where drag queens compete in numerous challenges in order to become the next drag superstar.  It’s a great show, full of big personalities and even bigger wigs.  And, at the end of each show, RuPaul reminds the remaining drag racers, “If you can’t love yourself, how in the hell are you gonna love somebody else?

Right on, right?  We all know it, deep down in our beings.  We have to love ourselves in order to happily love others and be loved by others.

But how do you do that?  How do you go from not loving yourself, maybe even not liking yourself, to really loving yourself?

Oh, and here’s a further conundrum!  How do you love yourself when you dislike or even hate your body?

Good questions!

You know that you need to love yourself, but now you just need the tools.  And I’m so ready to lay them on you, sister.  Just come to my next class, Attracting Love By Loving Your Body!

  1. @meerkat — I’m not sure what you mean. I wrote that, “We have to love ourselves in order to happily love others and be loved by others.” I’m not saying you’re incapable of love if you don’t love yourself, I’m just saying that your relationships (including love relationships) get better if you can find ways to love yourself.

  2. Thank you for reminding me for the 100th time that all those people I think I love, I DO NOT, because I am INCAPABLE of love, because I am a MONSTER. I feel so much more loving toward myself now, because I love hate-filled selfish monsters. Or something.
