HAES® For The Holidays E-Course with Golda Poretsky, HHC
I think we all have this image of an ideal holiday. We picture spending time with our favorite relatives and friends, enjoying delicious food, decorating our homes, and in general, feeling that feeling of connection and understanding with those we love.
But so often, the holidays don’t really look like that. Perhaps you have an endless to do list of shopping and preparation that can’t possibly be met. Perhaps certain family members can’t make it or have passed on and you really miss them.
Food is another huge stressor during the holidays. Perhaps you’ve been dieting or restricting your gluten or sugar intake and you’re worried about bingeing out on cookies. Or maybe you have family members who scrutinize your weight or your food choices, and you’re worried that your relatives are going to say judgmental things about it.
The thing about the holidays is that they’re just a hyper-amplified expression of what you’re dealing with much of the time. Even if you only see your Aunt Edna, who always comments on your weight, once a year, you still walk around with that Aunt Edna voice inside your head, right? You still criticize yourself for not being the size you want to be, and not eating “perfectly” (whatever that might mean). You still beat yourself up emotionally for not meeting a standard, even if that standard gets raised during the holidays.
What might it mean to you to have a less stressful holiday–one where you could really enjoy your friends and loved ones, feel relaxed while you’re eating, and have ways to manage comments about your weight and food choices?
What might it mean to have support in order to make this happen?
I want to give you the support you need to have a happier, more joyous, more relaxed holiday this year.
So I’ve specifically designed an e-course to give you the body positive, loving support you deserve. All of the content is designed to align with Health At Every Size® (HAES®) practices.
For 30 days, you will receive a daily email from me with a specific action item which will support you in managing stress and increasing your joy during the holidays. We’ll cover things like:
- How to pay attention to your fullness cues so that you stress out less about overeating during holiday meals.
- Ways to increase your self care during this time of year.
- Easy techniques for setting boundaries with loved ones who tend to comment on your weight or food choices.
- Body loving techniques for dealing with being in and seeing yourself in family pictures.
- Stress-free methods for dealing with feelings of overwhelm.
- Plus lots more!
A lot can change in just 30 days.
I’ve designed this course so that each action item will take just a few minutes of your time. You’ll notice that they’re designed for minimum effort and maximum impact. As you progress through the HAES® for the Holidays E-course that you’re feeling better, less stressed, and more capable of handling the specific difficulties that can happen during the holidays.
- A daily email from me with tips and support for 30 days.
- Access to a private facebook group just for people in the HAES® for the Holidays E-course.
- An e-book containing all of the course content at the end of the course.
