body love wellness pinterest contestAs you might know, I’m kind of obsessed with Pinterest.  And I’m really inspired to see all of the body positive and fatspiration boards going up every day!

So, I decided to create a little thank you contest, just for my readers!

Here’s how it works:

Simply create a “Body Love Tips” pin board featuring posts from this blog that have meant a lot to you, along with any other body positive stuff that you find inspiring for a chance to win the prizes below. The winning board will be chosen by me, by selecting what I feel are the most aesthetically pleasing boards.

PRIZES

1st Prize — A $75 gift certificate to Re/Dress Online, plus a full scholarship to my upcoming online group program, The Big Beautiful Goddess Academy (you can keep the scholarship for yourself or gift it to a friend!).

2nd Prize — A $25 gift certificate to Re/Dress Online.

The contest deadline is 4/20/12 at 8:00PM EST.  The winner will be announced the following Monday!

 How the Contest Works:

Step 0: If you do not have an account, request a Pinterest invitation.  Once you are a member, follow the instructions below!

Step 1:  Create your Body Love Pin Board – Create a Body Love Tips Board on Pinterest and categorize under Hair & Beauty.

Step 2:  Pin Your Favorite Images From Past Blog Posts- Scroll through the blog at www.bodylovewellness.com/blog or search by clicking on tags on the right hand side.    Click the “Pin It” button at the bottom of the post and follow the steps to pin it to your Body Love Board. You must pin at least 3 images from the Body Love Wellness Blog to meet the contest requirements.  You can also check out my Body Love Tips Board for inspiration.

Step 3: Leave A Comment Below– Leave a comment below with your name and email address (which will not be shown) and include the link to your board in the comment.

Totally Optional Steps:

  • Pin this post to your Body Love Tips pin board to let people know about the contest!
  • Mark yourself as “attending” on our Facebook event.
  • Mention this contest in a tweet or in a Facebook status.  Here’s a sample that you can cut and paste!

Contest Rules:

1. No purchase necessary to enter or to win.  A purchase will not increase your odds of winning.  All federal, state, local and municipal laws and regulations apply.  Void where prohibited.

2. Eligibility.  The Body Love Wellness “Beautiful Body Love” Pinterest Contest (the “Contest”) is open to U.S. residents, 18 years old or older at the time of entry; and Canadian residents (excluding Quebec), that have reached the age of majority in the province in which they reside by the start date of this Contest as identified below.

3. Entry.  The Contest will begin at 3 P.M. (Eastern Time) on April 2, 2012, and all entries must be received by 8:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) on April 20, 2012 (the “Contest Period”).

4. Judging.  Winners will be selected on or about April 21, 2012, from among all eligible entries received by April 20, 2012.

5. Winner Notification and Acceptance.  The winner shall be notified via email on or about April 23, 2012. Return of prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be selected.

6. All entrants hereby agree that upon submission of their Board, Golda Poretsky and Body Love Wellness shall have an unlimited license to reproduce the Board without further compensation.  By entering the contest, entrant represents that entrant created the Board for his/her/their entry into this Contest.  Upon entry, each entrant (on behalf of him/herself/ and his/her child/children) also releases Golda Poretsky and Body Love Wellness from all liability arising from his/her entry in the Contest and use of the prizes, and agrees to sign any additional documentation which Golda Poretsky and Body Love Wellness may reasonably request addressing this or any other Contest rules.  Golda Poretsky and Body Love Wellness reserves the right to request from any entrant additional documentation it reasonably believes is necessary to validate any entry or award any prize.

  3. I have a popular Board on Pinterest called Health & Fatness, in response to media imagery that restricts health and beauty to a limited body size. It also intends to promote the scientific and anecdotal evidence that busts stereotypes and shaming about being FAT!

    Some great friendships have been formed and I’m glad to be part of the shift towards empowering yourself – with confidence, self-love and nurturing the body you have now. As an internet user of over 15 years, I am disappointed that the ‘world wide web’ still has competitions that exclude participants from countries outside a website’s origin, in this case, the US.

    However, body love is a universal concept and I get a buzz from seeing people make it a reality. Thanks for the great blog :)

  4. Hi!! I’m a resident of Australia so I can’t join in on this LOVELY competition idea.

    But I thought I’d let you know my board that I started when Pinterest first started aaaages ago. It’s called STOP THE THINSPO. I pin things that are linked to great articles about body image and eating disorders and no more dieting.
