December can be such an intense mix of stress and bliss.  So let’s share some ideas for keeping your skin happy!

1) Drink More Water — When it’s hot out, it’s much easier to remember to drink water.  So it’s important to remind yourself to stay hydrated, for your skin’s sake and yours!  Herbal teas, water with lemon, and just plain old water are good choices.
2) Set Boundaries — This is the season for giving, but giving too much of yourself just leaves you feeling running down. For some tips on setting loving boundaries, click here.
3) Move Your Body — As much as possible, move your body with joy!  Working up a sweat is great for you and your skin.

Plus, this month we have another opportunity for awesome Eucerin swag! Seriously, these prize packs just get better and better. Here’s all you have to do to be registered to win:

  1. I am 73 and old age leaves one with very dry skin….I also have low throid which gives one dr skin. Therefore I could not survive any time during the year with out this product….use it all the time and have told many family members and friends to try all of the products…thanks.

  2. I like to keep my skin healthy by drinking a ton of water, and using more lotion on my hands in the cold, and after washing dishes.

I live in New Mexico so sunblock is a must no matter what time of year.

Washing regularly and not letting make up and such stay on your skin are vital as well!

  3. I just realized I should have posted this with the name on my facebook account so you could verify on the Eucerin page. Sorry bout that. Here goes…

Eucerin is pretty awesome I recommend it to so many people dealing with super dry skin. This winter has actually been the best for my skin in years since I have started using pure extra virgin coconut oil. I really love that it is completely natural, so natural in fact that people cook with it and take a few tablespoons a day as a nutritional supplement, it does taste delicious! I rub it into my skin after a shower and it has been keeping my skin hydrated soft. I apply it to my hair, a tiny bit will tame fly-a-ways and add this great shine, and putting a few tablespoons on my hair overnight before shampooing had made my hair incredibly healthy, full of bounce, moisturized, soft and shiny. I also apply a tiny bit to my face after I wash it with Black Magic soap from One Hand Washes The Other and my face has never felt and looked so good. Seriously that soap is incredible, made with all natural ingredients and chock full of essential oils I now love washing my face and it works awesome on the rest of my body too.

I have such dry skin that winters are usually awful for me because it gets so itchy and uncomfortable. The coconut oil has taken that away for me but that Eucerin calming itch relief sounds like it would feel incredible! I love that cooling menthol feel.

  4. Whee! This sounds awesome. I’ve been having the hardest time keeping my hands from cracking from the harsh desert-y winter we’re experiencing right now. I find it helpful to apply lotion to my hands immediately after washing them, and using a gentler, more natural body wash has helped tremendously– though I sure am eyeing that Intensive Hand Repair Creme on the swag list!

  5. Hi Golda~ For some strange reason, my skin is super-soft after I get out of the pool at the Y! Seems like the opposite of what normally happens with chlorinated water, yes? Anyway, just sharing a strange skin anomaly there, but of course my face gets dry in the winter, pool or no. I don’t have a humidifier, but since I live in a tiny studio apartment, I just boil a pan of water on the stove and it helps put some moisture in the air!

  6. I love Eucerin lotion – it’s the only stuff I trust when my skin is REALLY dry.
I’ve been doing a lot of body self-care stuff lately: lotion, massages, mani/pedis, the works. It helps a lot in the process of learning to love your whole body, just the way it is.

  7. I love the Eucerin Calming Creme and Calming Body Wash. The Body Wash is like a golden oil, fragrance free and leaves my skin soft and supple. I used to have erratic patches of eczema on my thighs and butt that are just gone now! I’ve used Eucerin Daily Protection on my face for years. My New Year’s resolution is to protect my body as well by using Eucerin Daily Protection Lotion. I live in California, so sun protection is a must!

  8. I am using lotion daily including something for aging which I often forget to do. I am also making sure to cover up, wearing gloves and a hat etc so I don’t get as much exposure and my lips… making sure to always keep some balm on them. My lips get dry so easily.

    Thanks

  9. I keep my skin happy by drinking plenty of water, we lived in Florida for three years and I forgot how harsh a winter can be on your body! :O)
