Alas, I haven’t gotten away much this summer. I’ve mostly done staycationy stuff, like the occasional trip to local beaches and last minute outdoor music explorations.
I know… this is not very exciting.
However, because I’ve been writing these skin care posts for a while now, I have a ton of Eucerin products to keep my skin safe when I’m not even thinking about it.
Because I’m one of those people who likes to go to the beach around 5PM when everyone’s leaving already, the 30 spf Eucerin moisturizer I use seems to protect me just fine!

I would love to get my family in the habit of wearing sun protection “everyday” as this bottle states. It would be a great habit for my young teens to develop. At the present besides my face moisturizer we only wear sun protection when planning on being in the syn for a length of time. Looks like we need to develop some new habits. Thanks.

I just spent some very special time at the beach with my husband, mother, daughter and grandson. I always make sure I wear sunscreen. My moisturizer has sunscreen and my foundation has sunscreen.
My daughter and I went on a summer long discovery of local farmers markets in the surrounding Chicago suburbs. Each week we picked a couple of different areas to head to and visited the farmers markets there. We left the house bright and early in the morning just as the sun was coming up, and returned home somewhere in the early afternoon, after shopping and having a nice lunch, usually somewhere al fresco. My daughter is 16, fair and blonde, same as me. We never go outside without our everyday face spf 30, its part of our skin care routine. In addition, we protect our skin with lightweight clothing, and cute summer hats to shade our face. My daughter does not argue because she sees how I look at 50 and knows if she eats healthy, exercises, and takes care of her skin, she will have a good chance of still looking young and avoiding skin cancer in her older years. I cherish the time we spent together this summer and hope the memories we made and life lessons we learned will remain with my daughter forever.
Our staycation consists of getting together with friends for boat parties, BBQ ‘s , visiting neighbors pools, crabbing, veggie gardening and lots of trips to parks and museums. Oh and setting up the living room like a movie theater and watching movies.
I took the pledge and when I went on vacation this summer to Myrtle Beach, I wore sunscreen, a hat and laid out under and umbrella. Didn’t burn once :)
I am a firm believer in taking care of my skin when the sun is concerned! I have done so all my life, and at nearly 47 have no wrinkles or spots!
This summer I took my son for 3 weeks to the local pool for swim lessons, I sprayed both of us down with spf 75 or higher before leaving the house to avoid burning up.
Took the pledge. We went to the beach we were all sure to moisturize with ab spf lotion beach winds are harsh on the skin
